A minor child drowned while playing at WTP Lake, Bekasi, West Java.
This underage child was playing and running around in the lake when it was reported that he drowned.
Joint SAR team personnel carried out search efforts for a victim who drowned in the Metland Cibitung WTP (Water Treatment Plant) Lake, Bekasi Regency, West Java.
The victim, known as Zendo Rayan Pratama (14), drowned on Sunday (7/1) at around 11.00 WIB while swimming with his friends in the lake area.
His colleague managed to help the victim but unfortunately the victim's colleague was unable to reach the victim and is currently still being searched by officers.
"This afternoon we are deploying rescue personnel from the Bekasi SAR Alert Unit to carry out efforts to search for victims together with joint SAR elements." emphasized Fazzli, S.A.P., M.Sc., Head of Basarnas Jakarta as SAR Mission Coordinator (SMC) in SAR operations.
He also emphasized that the search efforts were divided into two areas where the first team carried out search efforts by searching using rubber boats and carrying out a diving process to a radius of 10 meters from the incident location.
The second team carried out search efforts by combing land routes along the edge of the lake up to a radius of 100 meters from the incident location.
"Search efforts as of this evening have still not been found. We will continue monitoring and we will continue the search tomorrow morning." closed Fazzli.
Dozens of joint SAR personnel were deployed in the search, including the Bekasi SAR Alert Unit, Bekasi Regency BPBD, West Cikarang Police.
