Political observer Prof. Salim Aji Said, Ph.D. responding to the wishes of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) to revise the Law on Electronic Information and Transactions (UU ITE). This was after complaints emerged that many people were dodging because this made people uneasy and created a sense of injustice in society.

According to Salim Haji Said, this shows that President Jokowi is indeed a good person. This belief has been convinced for a long time. “I actually always say that Pak Jokowi is a good person. The meaning is also good. It has always been like that, ”he said on the YouTube channel Hersubeno Arief Point. 

According to the Professor of Political Science at the Indonesian Defense University, the problem is the current political structure, whether it can make someone like President Jokowi always do good.

“Because the problem in this country is  who is real in control , who is in charge. Because talking about the system we are running now, intentionally or not, is an oligarchy. If oligarchy is a difficult question, who is really in charge, “he said.

He questioned whether Jokowi was in full power? Or Jokowi is partially in power. Then partly who is in power, it deserves to find the root of the problem. “Lest there’s what’s behind it”, he said. (yanti / henri / pn)
